The new moon symbolizes growth, transformation, and new beginnings, and every month it offers us an opportunity to set intentions for the coming days, while leaving behind what no longer serves us. Join us for our monthly guided meditation under the new moon – as the sun sets, together we will create space to move forward with the projects and aspirations that make us feel alive.
Because it is important to us to care for our island home and the creatures we share it with, we donate all proceeds from our new moon meditations to support the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation's Sea Turtle Research Program.
$20 suggested donation. Cash donations only, please (if you would like to make a larger contribution, checks may be written directly to SCCF). Please bring a towel or blanket to sit on. Public parking is available. Meet at Alison Hagerup Beach Park, 14790 Captiva Dr., Captiva, FL. This beach is labeled "South Beach" or Location #30 on South Seas resort maps. If you are unable to attend our New Moon Meditations but still want to support SCCF's Sea Turtle Research Program, we gladly accept donations, and they will all be matched!
Registration is not required, but we always appreciate it if you let us know you are coming via text, email, or through our Facebook event page.
Ambu Yoga Loves Sea Turtles: reusable bags
We love sea turtles so much that we decided to create a second project to fund local sea turtle research! Your purchase of this eco-friendly reusable bag supports the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation's Sea Turtle Research Program, which monitors our beaches for sea turtle activity and ensures that sea turtles are able to nest and hatch successfully on our islands. The original turtle design on the bag was created and donated by local artist Rena Martinson. It's the perfect opportunity to carry a little piece of the islands with you wherever you go, and for a great cause.
Bags come in Navy and Chocolate and are $30 each, plus shipping (if applicable). Payment can be made by cash or check, payable to SCCF. Pick one up in our boutique, or make a request ahead of time and we will bring one to our next New Moon Meditation for you. Like our New Moon Meditation funds, all funds raised through the purchase of these bags will be matched by a generous donor, so your impact is doubled.
